My "Diary of a CEO" Interview
The most wide-ranging interview I've ever done, which is a high bar for me!
I recently recorded the Diary of a CEO podcast hosted by Steven Bartlett. For those who don’t know Steven, he’s a serial entrepreneur and an investor on the BBC One show Dragons’ Den. (For American readers, think: Shark Tank.)
This might have been the most wide-ranging interview I’ve ever done, which is saying a lot for me! We discussed topics from both of my books, as well as a few more personal subjects.
For the first time, I also shared ideas in the book I’m currently working on, and a few simple practices that they’ve led me to — like not starting the day with email.
This podcast also had the most cameras in a podcast studio I’ve ever experienced, so it’s made for video. You can click here or on the image below to check it out:
At the end of the conversation, I had to follow in the tradition of Diary of a CEO guests and answer a surprise question left by the previous interviewee. Of course, I then got to leave a surprise question for the next person. In the comments below this post, tell me what question you would have left.
Thanks for reading (and viewing and listening). Tomorrow we’re back to regularly scheduled programming, with an excerpt from a new Range foreword.
Best,
David

Fantastic episode.
Hey David 👋 really looking forward to watching this over the next few days, nothing mind boggling comes to mind for a surprise question.. I think I'd just go with something a bit clichéd by asking: "what does a 'perfect' or just a really, really good day look like for you?" Ps how is the new book project coming along? I'm excited to hear you mention that some of the ideas are touched on in this interview!
